Killinghall Moor Conservation Group Constitution
1. The group shall be called the Killinghall Moor Conservation Group.
2. The aims of the group are
  • To work together as a group to protect and enhance the wildlife and habitat of the developed and undeveloped area of Killinghall Moor. The area is bounded by the A59, the B6161 (Otley Road), Penny Pot Road and Oak Beck.
  • To liaise with residents of the area, the council, the schools and other interested groups.

3. To fulfill these aims the group will undertake conservation work. Other activities in furtherance of the aims shall also be undertaken from time to time as the members see fit.
4. The group shall apply for affiliation to the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and shall observe the conditions of the Trust.
5. Membership shall be open to anyone interested in taking an active part in the work of the group.
6. The group shall hold regular meetings (at least quarterly). All members shall be entitled to attend and meetings will be fully publicised.
7. Such officers shall be appointed as are required to conduct the administration of the group. They will include a chairman and treasurer.
8. There shall be an annual subscription to help pay necessary expenses, to be fixed at a members' meeting.
9. Accounts shall be kept by the treasurer, submitted to an independent inspection and approved annually at a members' meeting.
10. The group shall maintain insurance for volunteers on its projects, and for injuries to third persons and damage to property.
11. If the group should, by general consent of its members, cease to exist, all assets shall pass to the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers.
12. This constitution shall only be altered by consent of a majority of the members of the group.
